In New Castle, the world has become sharply divided, with the rich and privileged living, working, and running the world from levitating islands in the sky. On the ground, the middle class and the poor struggle with the dirty cities left behind, the smog, the poverty, and the necessities of life doled out from the corporations above.
The wealthy corporations, heeding the need for the downtrodden to keep lining their pockets and the need to crush their rivals no longer abide governmental rule.
GOoSE is the defacto government, keeping social order and policing when corporations get out of control. But the only way to police them, is through the means of Mother.

The secret espionage arm of GOoSE that employs rogue agents, mercenaries, and outcast research scientists, all dedicated to doing anything to balancing the power between the ground and the floating islands.
Mother recruits from their own, or brings in agents while young and in need of support, hence the code name “Mother”

The Giant Corp is run by the Ochre family who has been developing a reputation for ruthlessness and shoddy business practices.
After a mountain of complaints, GOoSE has ordered Mother to evaluate the corp.

Landers: People who lived on the ground. Middle and lower classes who worked for a living or lived in squalor, but their lives were not their own. Assets mortgaged for life, they worked to exist.
Megacorps: Are fun by rich families who live on the floating islands. Many of the wealthy are genetically enhanced.
